Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin…

Life gets complicated. Things demand our attention~ I rush around throwing the laundry in while I’m emptying the dishwasher all while in pursuit of my agenda…

IF I’m not careful, all those mundane tasks take a great deal of my time IF I am unconscious or ‘asleep’. I’d rather be doing something else. Time is always on my mind and my own character is being formed with the choices I make. Here is the thing: Bringing mindfulness to the task keeps you awake.

Remembering to breathe and ask for clarity brings a sense of the sacred to the mindlessness. It is not always easy to remember, but as I practice listening it starts to become second nature. I am practicing slowing down…. and when I can’t (being single handed mama that I am), I ask for inner direction, some help please… to look and really SEE and listen and really HEAR.
